Two posts in one day! I am positively verbose!
I am just excited! Step one of getting a studio set up was to defrost the 22 cu. ft. freezer ( which had not been defrosted in at least two years...) so it can be moved to a new home. The kiln will have to live where the freezer has been staying. So, early this afternoon, I turned off the freezer, and began the lengthy and frigid process of defrosting the behemoth. I found all kinds of interesting stuff...buried in ice. Who would have thought there were three whole chickens behind the stuff on the bottom shelf? I had NO idea I had so many bags of pecans from my mother in law left! The shelves are all silver wire again, and not as full as they were. There is no frost. Yay!
On to step 2....which is less fun! It entails cleaning out the space the freezer needs to reside in from now on, then moving the freezer, and then the kiln. Both weigh a lot. Good thing Tom is feeling better!
