I am working on a wedding cake. I would rather be working on getting my 'studio' area set up in the garage. I baked the cakes yesterday and while they were in the oven, I fiddled with porcelain clay on the dining room table. I made cute little salt and pepper shakers, and a larger piece to try a new (to me) technique on.

Tom is off on an appointment with the job placement consultant. Justin is at work. James is in Boston. Laura and Kaeleb are working on a bottle before the afternoon nap. I should be mixing up icing, but I am fooling around on here instead.

Bonnie emailed me last night. There were a few casualties in the latest kiln load. My stuff of course....I am beginning to develop a complex about large bowls.... One bowl did fine however, which was such a relief. It is a copy of an old earthenware bowl my mother had. If I can get it duplicated somewhat correctly, I intend to gift my sisters with a copy. My brother swiped the original.
