I am not cut out to have a nice, neat house.

I try. I think about it a lot and plan for it. But, the fact of the matter is that I suck at housework. Clutter only bothers me every other leap year. Dust is invisible to me most of the time. So, I wanted to do a project I had been putting off for a while for spring break. I pulled everything out of my horrible closet with the intention of getting it really clean. I was amazed to find it has carpet in the bottom of it! I have not seen that carpet in at least four years, and had forgotten that it existed. Unfortunately, I had to run to the bank and the grocery store in the middle of this project and did not get as far on it has I had hoped when Tom got home. The poor man about fainted when he saw the bed, piled at least three feet in 'STUFF'. I did manage to get it cleaned off after we got home from Spaghetti night, so poor Tom had a place to sleep. I got three large trash bags to the curb for the trash men to pick up today...and I managed to organize what I put back into the closet well enough to get the tubs of yarn out of my way. The closet is neater, but by no means done. I intended to work on it today, but that has not happened. I don't know why...I think it is because I sat down and watched Foodnetwork while the load of clothes I was washing was in the dryer. It made perfect sense at the time, but now I am not so sure!
