Last night I got together with three other Etsy potters. We met at the open house one of the others was having at her studio in Cabbagetown. It was so much fun to meet these fun, awesome ladies! Jeanette's work is very functional, and I love her loose style and beautiful light glazes. Lisa drove down from Rome. Her work is also functional, and she gets these awesomely rich glazes. Charity is into detail. The way she decorates her work is mind boggling to me. Dots so beautifully consistent they look like dotted swiss, perfectly even stripes, swirls, circles...and colors! Just wow!
Anyway, we met up at Jeanette's opening, then went to another opening just a few miles away in Inman Park. I felt so arty! I loved meeting Charity's friend at the Inman Park show, and seeing her work. (awesome figurines done in red clay- the details were stunning!)
I got all inspired. I intended to spend the day in the garagio, but alas, I am having a hard time getting moving here. I think it is because I decided I needed to wash up everything and switch from porcelain to stoneware. I am dreading the washing. Silly me.

You go, Ellen!
But, now I have "The Ballad of Jayne" stuck in my head. ;)
That was me.
