Argh!

I tried firing the kiln with two pieces...one was a very important Christmas present. The other just a big bowl I kind of wanted to keep for myself. I noticed before I closed the lid that there was a crack in the bottom of the bowl so I turned off the kiln, so I would not waste the clay. A few hours later I opened it up, fully expecting to find the bowl with a crack and have the chance to repair it. Nope. Shattered. All over the place. What a mess! I am dreading having to clean it all up. So, the mug will NOT be done. Bummer.
