Moving Right Along...

Its hard to believe Thanksgiving is over and now Christmas will be bearing down on us before we know it. Its such a busy time of year, I just hope I can keep up this year, and keep making progress, instead of falling behind again.

Thanksgiving turned out lovely, but was bittersweet in ways. Three of James' friends came and ate with us. One of them, Tamami, who is Japanese, left to return to Japan Friday morning. She hopes to return, but does not know when that will be, if ever. I am very sad about that, as she is such a lovely person - so cheerful and bright - and I just loved having her around.

On the needle front, I finished a scarf, and started another. I worked some on the afghan, but the scarves served as a much needed break from it. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel...its just a pinpoint right now, but at least its visible and that is encouraging.

Tom is working on the plumbing, and making some progress. The cats are fascinated with what he is doing and are constantly climbing the ladder to try and get up into the ceiling, or crawling into holes he has had to cut into the walls to access pipes. I guess they view them as secret passages. Back when he was working on the hall bathroom, they figured out they could go through the wall, and into the laundry room below. Such fun! Silly cats.

I am going back to my knitting.....
