A whine: The poor kiln load.
Well, I unloaded the kiln. It was disappointing. The plates are ok. The platter decent. I did get some weird shivering on the edges, but it doesn't seem to extend beyond the very edge of the mason colors. The most urgent piece, a handmade mug with Kaeleb handprints on it meant to be a gift for someone who is leaving the area tomorrow, has to be reglazed because the glaze did not cover the inside bottom edges. I had a spot on the teapot that did the same thing. And the urn has some weird stripes where the glaze did not cover. It is very disheartening to open a kiln and find more problems than successes.
