I hit a dry spell where I could not throw, and when I tried, seems like I ruined everything. I finally threw a dozen mugs, but then I was not feeling well and did not have them covered very well and they got too dry. I was pretty bummed. But last night, I forced myself to work. I did not do much, but it seems to have helped. I threw five or so bowls...kind of a deep narrow one..a new shape for me. It was fun, and then it sparked some ideas, and low and behold today was great! I actually got a good amount of stuff done. There is almost enough for a bisque fire.
Here is a great blog you should check out: Potter's Blog I say that not just because there is a nice picture of one of MY pots on there... it is a lot of fun and the potter, Gary, has some great stuff.
It would definitely appeal to animal lovers! (check it out Jon! )
Hey, anyone use a dremel tool? I am thinking of buying one, and need some advice. I like the idea of cordless. Is it worth it?

THIS is the appeal of potters and blogs. I have used a dremel tool with a little sanding bit for ten years, and it was pretty good. I use a cordless drill now with a much bigger sanding bit now, it is more powerful, but not as small and convenient.
Oak Park, eh? Me and the missus met and married in Chicago.
Yeah, but do I need more power? Does the dremel work for cleaning a glaze drip off the bottom of a pot, or removing a flake of kiln wash from the middle of a piece?
small glaze bits only, Ellen, a drill has more power than a dremel
