Got through the wedding...

My first wedding as wedding coordinator for the church was today. I did not get paid for it, which was a bummer. The session had promised the building to the bride for free. The bride was a lovely woman, very sweet, and caring. Her friends were nice, but when the 30th person came up to me and asked me to turn the air conditioning down, I wanted to scream. I had it as low as I could, and it was just not caught up yet. Everyone wanted to 'solve' it for me, like I was some sort of dummy. The wedding was sweet, and the bride lovely, and everyone cleaned up the building very well. I was so happy to come home after hanging out over there for nine hours. I am going to have to rethink my fee! :)

James called from the road today. He was in Kansas, heading towards Colorado. Laura is still big and round- no baby yet.

So, that is life here at our house. Tomorrow, we celebrate Ruth's birthday- complete with a Chinese feast of spring rolls, hot and sour soup, pon pon chicken and lion's head. I am going to be cooking all day!
